AIE Monthly | April 2026
Greetings, aquaculturists!
Spring in the aquaculture community is a busy time, and there are many exciting happenings planned across the country. Read on to see how you can get involved, network and learn with other incredible industry members.
Introduction

Hello! My name is Madelyn, and I am thrilled to join the Virginia Sea Grant team and serve as the next administrator of the Aquaculture Information Exchange. I come from a public relations and marketing background and spend my spare time trying not to get a jellyfish sting in the river.
I hope to be a helpful resource to the AIE community and can’t wait to learn more about the industry. I am always looking to connect, so please reach out! You can find me at mbalser@vaseagrant.org and (804) 684-7339.
Get Involved
Share your expertise on the Exchange! The AIE Webinars are coming back in 2026, and I want to hear your ideas. If you have a topic to present or would like to share your area of expertise with the rest of the community, reach out and let’s make it happen.
